Dilip Ghosh, Santanu Pramanik hold meeting at Chinsurah on VB-G RAM G implementation

An important administrative meeting was held at Rabindra Bhavan in Hooghly’s Chinsurah on Monday on the implementation of various programmes under the Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G).

The meeting was attended by State Panchayat Minister Dilip Ghosh, Minister of State Santanu Pramanik, Hooghly District Magistrate Khursheed Ali Qadri, MLA Subir Nag, along with officials of the district administration, the Panchayat office, and various government departments.

The meeting discussed several important issues to further the overall development of rural areas in Hooghly with special importance placed on the commitment to ensure 125 days of employment, the development of rural infrastructure, increasing livelihood opportunities, and the speedy and transparent implementation of government projects.

In addition, special preparations to deal with disasters were also reviewed, keeping in mind the adverse weather conditions during the monsoon. Discussions were also held on preparing shelters to deal with possible flood situations, strengthening relief and rescue systems, developing river embankments and flood prevention structures, and coordinating the administration’s actions in emergency situations.

The meeting conveyed the message of strengthening the administration’s preparedness for rural development, employment generation, and dealing with natural disasters. According to the 0district administration, special emphasis has been placed on increasing coordination among various departments so that the benefits of government projects reach the common people quickly.
